Our Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that sponsors The Bluegrass Aerospace Experience.

Our instructor, Rick Markle, has been in aviation nearly all his life and has built many aircraft as well as running an FBO. Many volunteers from the Kentucky Pilots Association also assist.

We have a very well-equipped shop and a fully professional paint booth to paint our aircraft in. As of this writing, our fourth Carbon Cub has been completed and sold. Currently, the program is building a Sling TSI. It is a high performance, four place, all metal aircraft.

The Kentucky Pilots Association and The Bluegrass Aerospace Experience are now in their fifth year.

In addition, the foundation is also funding a flight program for a group of students from The Bluegrass Aerospace Experience. This program has the goal of each student completing a Private Pilot Ground School, taking the written FAA test, and taking part in flight training, finishing up with each student completing a solo flight. Many students have soloed and some have even obtained their private pilot rating.
