Kentucky Pilots Association is hosting the US Pilots Association Fly In

    The KPA is hosting the US Pilots Association fly-in August 12 to 15 at the Bardstown Airport. KPA members are welcome to attend all of the scheduled events including the Thursday BBQ, Friday Bourbon distillery tours and Bourbon tasting, the Saturday breakfast at the airport (members pay for this as usual), and the Saturday banquet and guest speaker at the hotel. Some of these activity have a cost and if you want to attend we will need to know who wants to participate and then make arrangements to make payment for the chosen events. Some of the events are at no cost, but we still need to know how many will attend.

    In addition, KPA members who are available Thursday are welcome to meet and greet the USPA members who are flying in. We can help these pilots get parked and tied down, assist in getting them to their rental cars and aid them in finding the Fairfield Inn hotel where they are staying. Right now there are pilots from Texas, Missouri, Georgia, and North Carolina on the list.

    If you want to help park the arrivals or attend the BBQ on Thursday, please fill out the form and let us know so we will have plenty of food available.

    If you will participate in the banquet, please fill out and submit the form.

    Please tell us if you will be participating in the Fly In events.

    • Thursday August 12 during the day we will meet and greet the USPA arrivals.

    • Thursday August 12 at 6 pm at the airport. We will have a BBQ dinner and a pilot/controller forum This is a free event.

    • Friday August 13 we will have two Bourbon distillery tours (Barton and Lux Row) with lunch at the Maywood Country Club and dinner at Scout & Scholar Brewing Co. followed by a Bourbon tasting. The distillery tours (combined) are $30 per person. Meals are at your expense.

      Update 7/23/21: All 22 tours are booked and none are available at this time.

    • Saturday August 14 evening will have a banquet with guest speaker Dan Gryder at the Kurtz Restaurant. The banquet is $40 per person.
